As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Instructions for Authors

Welcome to our journal. To ensure a smooth double-blind peer-review and publication process, we ask that all authors carefully format their manuscripts according to the following guidelines prior to submission.

General Format

Language: All manuscripts must be written in standard American English. Font: Use 12-point Times New Roman font throughout the manuscript (except title: TNR 14). Spacing & Paragraphs: The text must be single-spaced, with add a space between paragraphs. Manuscript Length: Submissions should be between 4,000 words (minimum, excluding references) and 7,000 words (maximum, including references). File Format: Please submit your manuscript as a Microsoft Word document (.doc or .docx). Tables and Figures: All tables and figures should be embedded directly within the text near where they are first mentioned. Use high-resolution images for all figures.

Title Page and Anonymization

To facilitate a double-blind peer-review process, authors must submit two separate files during the submission process:

1. Manuscript with Author Details: This is the complete version of your paper. Immediately following the title, it must include all authors' full names, institutional affiliations, email, & ORCID IDs (if ORCID is not available, just write email).

2. Anonymized Manuscript: This version will be sent to our reviewers and must not contain any identifying author information. Please ensure that you:

  • Remove all author names, affiliations, and contact details from beneath the title.

  • Remove author identifiers from the Microsoft Word document properties.

  • Anonymize any self-citations in the text and reference list (e.g., use "Author, 2023" instead of "Smith, 2023").

Manuscript Structure

Please organize your anonymized main manuscript in the following exact order:

Title: Should be concise, informative, and relevant to the field of social science. Abstract: A brief summary of the research, ranging from 150 to 250 words. It should concisely outline the background, arguments/findings, and methods/concepts/theories. Keywords: 5 keywords. Introduction (min.700 words, max. 1000 words): Clearly state the background, research problem, the literature gap being addressed, and the specific objectives of the paper. Method / Concept / Theory (min. 300 words): write the research design/method/theoretical framework/conceptual approach used to conduct the study. Result & Discussion (minimum 3000 words): Present your findings clearly and follow up with a robust discussion. Conclusion (250-400 words): Summarize the main findings, highlight the theoretical or practical implications of the study, or briefly mention any limitations or directions for future research.

Citation and Reference Guidelines

Accurate referencing is critical to maintaining the academic integrity of our journal.

Reference Style: All citations and references must adhere to the APA 7th edition. Reference Management: We highly encourage authors to use reference management software, specifically Mendeley, to ensure formatting consistency. Quantity: A standard manuscript should contain min. 30  references. To ensure the research is grounded in current academic discourse, at least 70% of your references must be contemporary journal articles published within the last 15 years. Furthermore, these contemporary journal references must include a valid DOI.

Declarations & Statements:
All manuscripts must include the following statements placed immediately before the References section:

Ethical Approval and Informed Consent: For research involving human participants, authors must state that the study was approved by an appropriate Institutional Review Board (IRB) or ethics committee. Authors must also declare that informed consent was obtained from all participants. If your study did not require ethical approval, please provide a statement explaining why.

Data Availability Statement: Authors are encouraged to provide a statement indicating whether the data supporting their findings is available. If data is publicly available, please provide the repository name and link or DOI. If data is not available due to privacy or ethical restrictions, please state this clearly.

Declaration of Conflict of Interest: Authors must declare any financial, personal, or professional relationships that could be perceived as a conflict of interest or could influence the research. If no conflict exists, please state: "The authors declare no conflicts of interest."

Funding Statement: Authors must acknowledge all sources of financial support for the research, authorship, and/or publication of the article. Please include the names of funding agencies and grant numbers. If no funding was received, state: "This research received no external funding."

Authors' Contributions: For articles with multiple authors, please provide a short paragraph specifying the individual contributions of each author (e.g., conceptualization, methods, formal analysis, writing – original draft preparation, writing – review and editing).

Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI): If AI or AI-assisted technologies were used in the writing process, authors must disclose this. AI should only be used to improve readability and language. If AI was not used, state: "The authors declare that no artificial intelligence tools were used in the creation of this manuscript."
